First time at Cricut 360° / Mi primera vez en Cricut 360°

Since Cricut 360° challenge blog born I've been wanting to play with them, but for one reason or another I always missed the closing dates. Today I finally  end my card on time and here it is my entry for this week's challenge. This week's theme is "Transportation"
At the moment I saw the theme, I thought in this cut from Sweethearts cartridge. I love how romantic this card came up! I wanted to pop up the cut so as embellishments I only used some flower beads and small pieces of cord that I had stored.
I will also entry this card to My Craft Spot Monday Challenge which theme for this week is You make me smile.
I hope you like this one.

If you are looking for the Birthday Sundaes Blog Hop, please click HERE

First things first, let's go with the Sandra's Butterflies Birthday Blog Hop candy winner!
I used Random.org to select my winner and the follow was the result:

CONGRATULATIONS PAMMIE KAY!!!!!

You won a set of your choice of Dyed Crinkle Ribbon from My Craft Spot.

Now on the note card set:

I made this set of cards as a gift for a very good friend of my mom.
I used Damask Decor card feature and tag feature and made the box out of one sheet of card stock a few folds.
Embellished both the cards and the box with ribbon.
What I like the most of these type of gifts is that the recipient could use the cards for what ever motive she has, they could be Birthday, Congratulations, Thinking of you or even Sympathy cards.
I also print out a set of name cards and added them to the box.

I hope you liked this and thanks for visiting me!
Espero les haya y gracias por visitarme!

Now, into this week's challenge, you probably already saw the new look of the blog and as the goal of Birthday Sundaes is to build up those birthday card stashes, what a better theme for this hop than a Birthday Cake or Cup cakes... We all love cup cakes, didn't we?
So, our challenge for this week is to create a Birthday card using a Cake or Cup cake on it and any kind of birthday sentiment on the front.
Here is my first card for this week:

I realize that I am using this sketch so much lately, so I decided to make a second card, this is quite simple but I like how it turns out.

Sandra's Butterfly Birthday Blog Hop

If you arrived here just to visit me, THANKS for coming by, and I would love to invite you to hop with us starting at Sandra's blog HERE. You won't want to miss this hop, there are lots of fun projects and prizes too.

If you are here from Mary's Cardztv blog then you are in the right spot.
I hope you are having fun hoping through Sandra's Birthday celebration.
She is celebrating her Birthday today and tomorrow with a Butterfly Blog Hop so I couldn't miss this opportunity to wish her a Very Happy Birthday, besides, Who doesn't like butterflies?
Crafting world is full of butterfly embellishments, die cuts, buttons, ribbons and all sort of items butterfly related,  so the hard part for this project is to decide which butterfly shape/cut/embellishments I wanted to use.
For today I made this Birthday card that will be sent to Sandra once the hop finished (Sorry Sandra it wont be a surprise anymore!)
I like how it came out and I hope you and Sandra like it too.
I used my favorite butterfly cut, which is the one from Indie Art. Add glitter over the top layer and then I added some lace and pearls to the card. I printed the background paper from www.papercraftinginspirationsmagazine.co.uk.

My daughter is a Butterfly lover too so she wanted to play and asked me if she could make a card with butterflies... so, this is her card...
The flowers and leaves are MS punches. The butterflies were printed from Paper Craft Inspiration site  and then punched out. (It seems like she is a paper punches lover too!)

I almost forget that I have a blog candy for one luck winner.
For a chance to win you just have to leave a comment on this post. For an extra chance you can become a follower and make a second comment saying if you are already a follower or if you are a new one.
I will be choosing my winner next Monday night.

There are many fabulous projects along the way so be sure to hop all over the line and do not forget to leave your comments on every stop so you can be eligible to win the grand prize giveaway. Sandra is giving away a $20 Gift Card to Joann's and one Scrappy Moms Quirky Quotes sponsored by Scrappy Moms!!! How great is that?

Birthday Sundaes Challenge #19 - Inspiration Photo

Happy Sunday!!!
WOW!!! We have lots of amazing entries last week at the Birthay Sundaes
Today at Birthday Sundaes we have an Inspiration Challenge.
We are called to use the photo to be inspired by the theme or the colors for our Birthday cards! (We only ask that if you are going to post the picture on your personal blog, be sure to give the credit of it to the source)

http://www.marthastewartweddings.com/photogallery/seaside-sweets?lpgStart=1&currentslide=9&currentChapter=1

Many thoughts came into my mind with this picture, but I decided to make a card that is pretty much stuck to the picture it self.
I used Life is a Beach cart for the base cut and Sweet Treats for the cupcake. The tag was computer generated by printing the sentiment on a slide sheet and then hand cut it.
Add lots and lots of glitter and done.
Hope you like my card and looking forward to see your creations this week!

Hugs
Vivi

Fabulous 40 (and an embossing tip)

I made this card for a very dear friend of mine that will be celebrating her 40th birthday today.
I bought the Forever Young cartridge last year thinking that me and many of my friends will be turning 40 this year, and this cart just scream how we always feel young. This card is pretty simple but I love how it came up. I hope my friend likes it too.
For the inside I just print the text over that pearly paper and then embossed it!

I have to say that I used to hate that paper because the ink delays hours while dries. BUT I figured out that if after print the text you add embossing powder and then heat it (with the heat gun) any text you print over the paper will be perfectly embossed and takes the card to another level. So that is my tip for you and I hope it works for you, if so, let me know! I would love to see what you can do with this.

I decided to make a little present for my friend too. So I made a Guest Book.
I must say that it was not exactly my idea. It came from Paula Bee from Craft with Bee... She is one of the most talented crafters I've ever seen and I love to go for inspiration at her blog every time I can.
Well, here are some pics of the Guest book that matches my card and some of the internal pages.

Birthday Sundaes #18 - Anything Goes Birthday Card

This week the challenge at the Birthday Sundaes is to create an Anything Goes Birthday Card... We know that is the all time favorite challenge at the blog, but the news are even better... We have a new sponsor for this week's challenge!  So one lucky winner will receive a $20.00 store credit to Circle B Enterprises!
How great is that?

I am so sorry that I don't have a birthday card to share with you this week, I've been under the weather so I took this week off, but I promise to make something to share with you during the week. In the mean time, why don't you go and visit the other design team members to see their creations for this week. They really made great cards to inspired you. And don't forget to join us on the challenge this week. You have until next Saturday to post your cards!

Have a happy week!!!
