Birthday Sundaes Challenge #11

We all know that masculine cards are not easy to make, maybe because we have to forget about use our flowers and ribbons and glitter and all that cute embelishments we love to use. But, after a week full of lace and pearls at the Birthday Sundaes Blog, it is fair to make some birthday cards for men in our lives. Soooo, Amber, from our design team suggested for this week's challenge to make a Masculine Birthday card.
We all at the Birthday Sundaes DT want to see what you can create for this week... I think we all need a little inspiration on this topic, so if you haven't gone there yet, hop to the Birthday Sundaes blog and see the beautiful cards that my talented friends made this week to inspire you.
I embossed aluminum pieces with the gift and the cupcake folders that came with my Cuttle Bug.
I also dry embossed the bottom piece of cardstock and then heat embossed my sentiment with silver embossing powder... It is hard to see on the picture but I wanted that the sentiment shines as the aluminum pieces.
A small piece of ribbon, 3 brads and call it done!

If you'd like a chance at being a featured 'Super Sundae', please have your card linked by Thursday at 6 pm EST. However the challenge is open until Saturday at 11:59 pm EST.
See you there!  Nos vemos allá!

FIF Last Challenge (#25)

Yes, you read right... the Flaunt it Fridays Blog has concluded its cycle and today we are posting our last challenge there.
To be part of the FIF design team has been a wonderful jurney for me and I know also for many of my design team colleagues. We really have joyful moments there, lots of crafting inspiration and over all, many new friends that (at least in my case) really improved my life.
From the bottom of my heart I want to thanks Sandra for letting me be part of this adventure and to all the DT members for their friendship.

This week we are closing with a very fun challenge which is to flaunt the Robotz Cricut cartridge... I don't have boys, so I don't have that cartridge, and the closest cut I had on my carts is the Buzz Lightyear cut... As he is technicaly a robot, I used him and here is the card I made.

Back ground paper is from DCWV All about boys stack

I simply love easel cards. I don't know why I don't make them more often.

Sentiment is computer generated.
I really have a great time making it!
Hope you enjoy it and if you have a chance this week, come and join us on our last challenge.

Baby girl card / Tarjeta para una bebé

I made this card today with no more reason that to make a shape card. I was hoping around at blogland and I visited My Craft Spot blog and Kimberly and her amazing team have as the challenge for this week to make a shape card, so here I go! I looooove shape cards, they are just to fun to make.  Another good thing about this card is that I used the Zooballoo cartridge... I can´t recall the last time I used that cart... and this cute elephant and have the perfect shape to use it as a card. Look for some girly papers and it happens that I had the matchin ribbon for the paper... I think I don´t have to say that I am so happy with the final result. YEY!!! Now I can go to bed in peace.

YEY! Ahora me puedo ir a dormir en paz.

Another birthday card / Otra tarjeta de cumpleaños

This is a very simple birthday card but I wanted to share something with you today.
I love the images from Sliekje digi stamps, and that little king just made me think in a birthday card for a little boy I know and who loves to play the king.

Wish you a happy and blessed week. Remeber to leave a comment and share with me what you are thinking... I love to read comments, it makes me happy.

Birthday Sundaes #10 - Pearls and Lace Birthday Card

Time for another challenge at Birthday Sundaes... It is our challenge #10 already and this week our challenge is to make a birthday card using Pearls and Lace... perfect opportunity for a very femienin card, don't you think?
Well, I made this card for my very special aunt who will be turning 80 this month and I wanted to make something diferent for her. I made this recessed window card for her. I love the dimension that the folds of this type of card gives and although purple and it shades is not my favorite range of colors, I love how this one came out. I hope my Aunt Mimi loves it too.
I love the dimension on the window and the space for the focal point of the card.
This is the inside of the card.

If you are interested on how to make this type of card, here is a link to the tutorial.
Thanks for visiting my blog...  please feel free to leave a comment, I LOVE COMMENTS, and hope to see you playing along with us this week at Birthday Sundaes!!!

It's Friday!

After a long time out of blogland I am back.
I am so happy to be here to show you the card I made for this week's challenge at Flaunt it Fridays.
The cut we have to use is the baby Tigger with the duck from Pooh Font, I don't have Pooh Font but I have Pooh and Friends so I have the grown characters and there is where my idea come from... I try to simulate the grown Tigger thinking of his favorite toy/friend from childhood...

Tigger is from Pooh and Friends, the little duck is from New Arrival, the pond is from Create a critter. Hope you like this and join us at this week's challenge.

Birthday Sundaes Challenge #8

Today at Birthday Sundaes our challenge is a recipe, so we have to create a Birthday Card using 3 different embellishments and 2 different patterned papers.
So here is my card for this week.

I love that paper from Me & My big ideas. I love the brown base of these papers and the colorful flowers.

The cupcake is from Sweet Treats. I embossed the "chocolate" frosting with Devine Swirls folder and the yellow rectangle was embossed with the "With Love" cuttlebug embossing folder.

Hope you like this one and to see you playing with us at Birthday Sundaes!

Teacher Appreciation Blog Hop

Welcome and thank you for joining us at Jen’s Craft Corner Teacher Appreciation Blog Hop! You should have arrived here from the blog of the very talented CindyIf you just happened to stumble upon this hop, please be sure to go back to Jen’s blog, so you don't miss any of the wonderful projects we have to share. There are lots of fantastic ideas and inspiration... and who knows, maybe you can win some blog candy on the way...

For my project I made a Card and an altered Clipboard.
I used very vibrant colors on them because my daugther's teacher is a very happy and colorful person. She is a great teacher and I wanted to make for her something that she can use in her class. So I keep the surface very plain to allow her to write over it.  I hope you like my projects!

Now What is a blog hop without blog candies? Maybe you would like to win some Sugar Free Candy, so  I will be giving a set of 3 colors of your choice of HAND DYED RIBBON from My Craft Spot. Look at the ribbon.... it looks so yummy!

All you have to do is to leave a comment under this post. To be a follower is not requierd but I would love if you want to become my blog friend. You have until next Sunday midnight to enter your comment. I'll be posting the winner on Monday May 9th.

Thank you so much for joining us for today’s Teacher Appreciation Blog Hop! Your next stop is Tara's blog , so hop there so you can see her fantastic project!

Primer viernes de Mayo / First May Friday

This is the first May challenge at Flaunt it Fridays and this month comes with a new blog sponsor and a great gift. May sponsor is Scrapbuck.com and our month winner will have a $20 gift certificate! Isn't that fantastic?
Well, our first cut for this month is the Castle from Wrap it Up, as usual, if you don't have the cartridge, you can always play with a similar cut from another cartridge. Mine is from Paper Dolls Dress Up, and I made a frame for my DD's room... she is our little princess and her room is her castle so I think she will like this.

Don´t forget to visit our sponsor web page as well as the Flaunt it Fridays Blog to see my DT colleagues projects. You will find beautiful things there!
