Challenge #15 at Birthday Sundaes / Reto #15 en Birthday Sundaes

I have to say that I had a blast last week seeing at all the wonderful and creative shape cards at the Birthday Sundaes Challenge Blog! Wow! There were lots of amazing cards full of details and great shapes.
For this week we are asked to create a birthday card with stars & stripes on it. And you can use any colors!. I have to admit that I was a little bit stuck with this challenge, but at the end I came up with this little card and I like the final result.
I used Wild Cards for the shape card, Home Decor for the star (with all the layers) and Gypsy Wondering for the Happy Birthday sentiment.

I hope you like this weeks challenge and join us too.

I love to make shape cards... Today my daughter was invited to a birthday party and she choose the pirate motive from Boys will be boys cart. I also had the gift wrap paper with pirates motives... I like how my little card matches the present.
I hope you like it

Birthday Sundaes # 13

This week at the Birthday Sundaes challenge blog our task is to make a Birthday card and embossing it! I love to emboss my cards... I think embossing gives to your projects some kind of "up-grade" (lol)
So here is my card with the background embossed with the CB little hearts folder and the sentiment embossed with some pink embossing powder and my heat gun.

I think that the embossed background could be seen better in this picture. I couldn't take a decent picture of the sentiment in which you could see the shine of the powder... but beleive me, it is there!

My daughter saw this card and she decided that I have to make a bunch of cards like this one to invite her class mates to a party next week, her birthday won't be until september, so I asked her why she want to make a party next week? (Dumb question! a 4 years old never needs a reason to want a party) but she answer me that this card is so cute so all her classmates deserve to have one, so the best reason to give them a card is to invite them into a party at home.

I hope you like my card and don't forget to go into the Sundaes Birthday Blog and chack out what everyone have in the store for you! There are beautiful embossed cards this week!

Welcome back card

Yesterday I received the Damask Decor cartridge as part of a bundle from Cricutmachine. Actually I was expecting a different cartridge and to be completely honest, I didn't want this cartridge at all. I couldn't be more wrong about it! Now I am delighted with it!... It has great cards and envelopes that are really easy to cut!!!!!! and the best thing is that with two cuts you have a wonderful card done!!!! I haven't imagine my self saying this, but I think this cart will became one of my favorites.
I made this card today in a rush... the most time consuming thing was to select the papers I wanted to use.
I cut this at 3.80 with my gypsy. A wonderful thing about this cartridge is that once you choose the size of the card, both layers will fit perfectly and so does the envelope!!! You don't have to figure out your envelope size once you have the size of your card. (another reason why I am loving this cart)
I made a small trick on this card because I wanted the background white and I only had 81/2" x 11" white card stock, and I had the front already cut when I realize that, so I had to modify the card base with my Gypsy girl. I welded two "Layer 1" with the internal shapes hidden (easy!)
The tag is from Home Accents cut twice with the shadow and the blackout features. The generated the sentiment with my computer and printed it over the white layer.
I cut the envelope at the same size (3.80 with my Gypsy) and you can cut the damask design with the silhouette feature to decorate the envelope, but I was out of time so I used the negative of the front cut to decorate the envelope. (I think it came out OK)

I hope you like this one.
If you feel like you want to make me happier, do not hesitate in leave me a comment... I LOVE comments!
