Birthday Sundaes challenge #21

Wow! What a busy and fun week we had!

There were lots of wonderful cake/cupcake cards this week and all of us at the DT had so much fun with the blog hop. I hope (and I know) you did too.

So today is a very special day because this is our first official challenge as a new design team, we also have a new sponsor this week and I have the announcement of my blog candy winner...

Here is my card for this week. It came out pretty masculine despite of the glitter I added to the cake (lol) and I am happy about that because I was almost out of masculine cards.

I had lots of fun making this card  because after I colored my image with markers, I decided to rip and  distress every layer on the card.
Esta es mi tarjeta para esta semana. Resultó bastante masculina a pesar de la escarcha que le puse en el pastel (je je) y yo quedé feliz con eso porque ya casi me estaba quedando sin tarjetas de cumpleaños masculinas. 
Me  divertí mucho haciendo esta tarjeta porque después de colorear la  imágen con marcadores, decidí razgar y añejar un poco cada capa de la  tarjeta.

Birthday Sundaes Challenge #12

There is time for another Birthday card!!!  I have to say that I am really happy with my store of birthday cards. For the first time in my life, I have my birthday cards done in advance and I love the feeling of having a couple of them in case anyone else asks me for one.
This week at Birthday Sundaes our challenge is an "Anything goes Birthday Card"...we know you love this challenge (I do too!).

This is the card I made and the image is called "Gus Birthday - Recount image".

Birthday Sundaes Challenge #11

We all know that masculine cards are not easy to make, maybe because we have to forget about use our flowers and ribbons and glitter and all that cute embelishments we love to use. But, after a week full of lace and pearls at the Birthday Sundaes Blog, it is fair to make some birthday cards for men in our lives. Soooo, Amber, from our design team suggested for this week's challenge to make a Masculine Birthday card.
We all at the Birthday Sundaes DT want to see what you can create for this week... I think we all need a little inspiration on this topic, so if you haven't gone there yet, hop to the Birthday Sundaes blog and see the beautiful cards that my talented friends made this week to inspire you.
Todos sabemos que las tarjetas masculinas no son fáciles de hacer, tal vez por que tenemos que olvidarnos de usar flores, lazos, escarcha, y todos esos adornitos y tiernas decoraciones que amamos usar. Peeeeero, después de una semana de encajes y perlas en el blog de Birthday Sundaes, es justo que hagamos alguna tarjeta de cumpleaños para los hombres en nuestras vidas. Así que Amber, del equipo de diseño, sugirió para el reto de esta semana, elaborar una tarjeta de cumpleaños masculina.
Todas en el equipo de Birthday Sundaes, queremos ver que hacen ustedes esta semana... Yo creo que todos necesitamos un poquito de inspiración en este tema, así que si no han ido aún, salten al Blog de Birthday Sundaes y vean las hermosas tarjetas que mis talentosas amigas hicieron para inspirarles esta semana.

I embossed aluminum pieces with the gift and the cupcake folders that came with my Cuttle Bug.
I also dry embossed the bottom piece of cardstock and then heat embossed my sentiment with silver embossing powder... It is hard to see on the picture but I wanted that the sentiment shines as the aluminum pieces.
A small piece of ribbon, 3 brads and call it done!

FIF Last Challenge (#25)

Yes, you read right... the Flaunt it Fridays Blog has concluded its cycle and today we are posting our last challenge there.
To be part of the FIF design team has been a wonderful jurney for me and I know also for many of my design team colleagues. We really have joyful moments there, lots of crafting inspiration and over all, many new friends that (at least in my case) really improved my life.
From the bottom of my heart I want to thanks Sandra for letting me be part of this adventure and to all the DT members for their friendship.

This week we are closing with a very fun challenge which is to flaunt the Robotz Cricut cartridge... I don't have boys, so I don't have that cartridge, and the closest cut I had on my carts is the Buzz Lightyear cut... As he is technicaly a robot, I used him and here is the card I made.

I simply love easel cards. I don't know why I don't make them more often.

Sobre para dinero

Esta vez para regalar dinero a un hombre...

Siempre las tarjetas masculinas son un poco más complicadas de hacer... al menos para mí. Quizá esto se deba a la limitación con el uso de flores, cintas, lazos y brillos, es decir elementos que son considerados super femeninos.

El caso es que debía hacer un sobre para regalar dinero con motivo masculino y este fue el resultado. Creo que quedó bastante bien y cumple su misión.

Agradeciendo al Padre por el padre...

Esta es la tarjeta que hice para mi papá, pues a lo largo de mi vida, he visto como mi padre ha sabido responder al Señor, confiando siempre primero en la Divina Providencia, cumpliendo con sus tareas pero abandonado en las manos de Dios-Padre.

Pensando en un papá clásico, tal vez un abuelo que siempre quiso ser aviador o Porqué no? Un papá moderno que ame los modelos de aviones antiguos...

Una tarjeta diferente, la forma de escalera es la base para la palabra PAPA. El texto refuerza el cariño y agradecimiento por el amor que papá nos ha dado.

Papá #1

Otra tarjeta para el Día del Padre. En este diseño, el titular de la tarjeta es la palabra Papá que resulta ser una colilla con el mensaje escondido.

La parte interna de la tarjeta está decorada con los mismos colores y elementos de la portada.

Junio ya está a la vuelta de la esquina, y por eso ya es tiempo de ir preparando las felicitaciones para Papá...
Aquí les dejo una muestra de lo que he estado trabajando para esta fecha en que vale la pena detenernos y decirle a Papá cuánto le queremos.
