Birthday Sundaes Challenge

I must apologize for my late post today, but I have been with very limited access to my blog (and to my crafts) this week due to a surgery I had on Wednesday.
Debo disculparme por mi publicaciòn tardìa de hoy, pero he tenido acceso limitado a mi blog (y a mis manualidades)esta semana debido a una cirugìa que me hicieron el Mièrcoles.

This is my project for this week´s Birthday Sundaes challenge. What a lot of fun is to make a special something for a Birthday!
Este es mi proyecto de esta semana para el reto de Birthday Sundaes. ¡Què divertido es hacer algo especial para un cumpleaños!

I altered a paint can for my niece who is turning 7 years old. Her favorite colors are pink and black and she loves butterflies, so I came out with this 3D idea of the butterflies on the can.

I wanted to give something special to the black background, so I heat embossed silver swirls to the black paper. I think it came out quite well. Then I cut the butterflies from Indy Art 2 times one in pink and the other in silver with the blackout feature on. For the can lid I did the heat embossed swirls by using a pink background paper and mixing silver and black embossing powders. (I love the effect of mixing two colors of powders)

Yo trabajè esta lata de pintura para mi sobrina que cumpliò 7 años. Sus colores favoritos son el rosado con negro y ella ama las mariposas, asì que vine con esta idea en 3D de las mariposas sobre la lata.

Querìa hacer algo especial con el fondo negro, asì que le agreguè los colochitos con embosado en calor y polvo para embosar en color plateado. Creo que quedò super lindo. Luego cortè las mariposas del cartucho Indie Art 2 veces para cada una. Una vez en rosado y la otra en plateado con la funciòn Blackout encendida.  Para la tapa de la lata, hice el embosado en calor pero esta vez sobre papel rosado y mezclando polvo de embosar en plateado y negro.

I did a coordinating card with the same design using Wild Card for the shape.

Hice una tarjeta que combina con la lata usando el cartucho Wild Card para la forma de la tarjeta.
