To my SIL to be...

My brother is getting married next week, so last night we (the ladies of the family) went out with my SIL to be.  We wanted to make her so very welcome to the family. I think she knows that she is part of the family already, but yesterday we made it "oficial"...

So, I made a card for her.  

My brother and her are both biologist/ornitologist so they world spin arround birds, so I couldn't stay away from birds theme... With so many cute cuts of birds on the cricut cartridges the hardest part of making this card was to choose the one that works with the ocassion.

I went with Sweethearts cartridge and the sweet couple in the nest.  The card basse is from A child's year cartridge which I cut twice in 2 diferent colors because I wanted to use the light color for the inside and the dark one for the outside. I love how you can see the birds through that window on the card. Then I dry embossed the front of the card with my cuttlebug birds and swirls folder. I finished the card by adding the string and the tag with the sentiment.

Wedding invites

My youngest brother is getting married and I made these as the invites for his wedding.

My SIL wanted Yellow and black as their wedding colors and as both of them are biologist/ornithologist, they wanted birds a the motive of their invites. So I came up with this.

Invitaciones de boda

Estas son las invitaciones a una boda que se celebró en la Playa.

La idea fue dar desde el momento de la invitación, un aire muy relajado...

El borde de abajo está decorado con arena de la misma playa en que se casaron, el diseño de la rama del árbol arriba fue hecho con sellos individualmente. Finalmente las dos estrellas de mar completan el diseño.

Sobres para regalar dinero con motivos de boda

Dos motivos con los tradicionales colores para boda.
Blanco sobre blanco con ligeros toques de plateado para resaltar los decorados.


En este diseño el papel base del sobre está embosado con notas musicales, pues el sobre fue hecho especialmente para una pareja de músicos. Es dificil de ver en la fotografía pero el decorado de los pajaritos enamorados está en relieve y sostenido por una cinta de organza blanca.

Una tarjeta para felicitación de boda o aniversario de bodas.

La combinación de los colores blanco y dorado, me hace pensar en la elegancia y sobriedad de una boda o de un aniversario de bodas. Por eso, esta tarjeta se complementa con la frase ¨With love¨... pensando en aquellos que celebran el día en que unieron sus vidas.
