You make me melt

Oh how happy I am!

I have forgotten how good it feels to post and share what you create with blog friends, and how nice is to make cards just for the fun of it, or like my husband says, just because I can.

Here I am with a nice and simple card I made this afternoon for the BBTB challenge of the week. I think I found it at the very last minute, but hope to reach to post before it closure.

I am not sure if a popsicle is consider an Ice cream, (it is where I live, but I know that in some countries an Ice cream and a popsicle are consider different kind of frozen sweets) anyhow, I did it with the intention of an ice cream (wink)

I used Just because cards cartridge for the cuts and old paper scraps that I think are still lovely, a piece of ribbon, and it is done.

Thanks for visiting and hope to see you soon.

Decorated note books

After almost 4 years out of "blog-land", today I am coming back with a simple but nice project I've been working lately.
In Costa Rica (where I live), school begins on February and during the last two weeks I have been decorating school notebooks, (for my daughter and also for her friends) It is a work I love to do since two years ago. It allows me to earn some money while I do something I like to. However, after about 30 notebooks,I start feeling out of inspiration, so I decided to came back and visit my blog to see if I can find something that I could recreate... and you should know how this is, I started reading my old posts, then the comments, then visiting old friend's blogs, memories from time ago when I used to post and play with my card makers/internet friends .... Once I get into the sites,  I remember that nothing helps me more in my hunt for inspiration as craft challenges.
So, long story short, here I am, entering the note book I decorate based on the Tic Tac Toe challenge from The Paper Players.

I decided to go with die cuts, pink, girly.
Actually, the inspiration came so fast and allowed me to decorate two instead of just one notebooks. So here is my creations and hope you like them.

The first one featuring my cricut old cartridges Create a Critter and A child/s year, pink every where and of course super girly glitter for he small flower that makes the dot over the i in "friends".

The second one looks like Valentine's day is around the corner. Again my cricut cartridges come into help. I used Sweethearts. Pink papers and a super cute ribbon I had since I can't remember.

I am also entering my projects in the FCCB: Ch. 269 Valentine's Day

If somebody is reading me after so many years without a post, THANK YOU!!!! and please if you don't mind, leave me a comment, it will be great to hear from someone out there.

Love!

CTO Challenge #50: Valentine's Day (must use a heart)

I am so glad I still have a few hours to enter this card at the CTO challenge blog. I made this card last week but didn't have time to post until today.
This card is my favorite from all the cards I made for V's Day...
I used CDS to cut the puzzle with My Community Cricut cartridge and the heart from Create a Critter.
The sentiment is from MCT and I think it goes perfect with the puzzle heart.

3 x 3 Valentine's mini card

Happy Monday blog friends!
This week's challenge at Fantabulous Cricut Challenge me Monday is to create a 3x3 Valentine's card.

Such a great idea to create some mini cards because they are so much fun to make and also they go perfectly with Valentine's Day favors.

I made this little one using some paper that I download from Paper Craft inspirations Isn't it cute?
The sentiment is from MCT which happen to be this week's sponsor at Fantabulous Cricut.
The cupid cut is from Sweetheart cartridge. It was cut at 1 1/4...

Then I embellished my card with a little piece of ribbon and those little stick pins that I learn to make thanks to my talented blog friend Georgiana from Carson's Creations. She made a picture tutorial that really encourages me to make some of those adorable stick pins. I didn't have bigger pins though, so I used some small ones which happened to be exactly what I needed for my mini card... THANKS so much Georgiana!!!
I am also entering this mini card to My Craft Spot Challenge: Anything goes.
There are BEAUTIFUL projects done by the MCS talented design team for our inspiration... you won't want to miss it!

Hope you like my mini card and thanks for visiting my blog.

To my SIL to be...

My brother is getting married next week, so last night we (the ladies of the family) went out with my SIL to be.  We wanted to make her so very welcome to the family. I think she knows that she is part of the family already, but yesterday we made it "oficial"...

So, I made a card for her.
My brother and her are both biologist/ornitologist so they world spin arround birds, so I couldn't stay away from birds theme... With so many cute cuts of birds on the cricut cartridges the hardest part of making this card was to choose the one that works with the ocassion.
I went with Sweethearts cartridge and the sweet couple in the nest.  The card basse is from A child's year cartridge which I cut twice in 2 diferent colors because I wanted to use the light color for the inside and the dark one for the outside. I love how you can see the birds through that window on the card. Then I dry embossed the front of the card with my cuttlebug birds and swirls folder. I finished the card by adding the string and the tag with the sentiment.

This is a shot of the inside.

Hope you like it and as always all your comments are so very welcome... it makes my day to read comments on my blog.
Thanks for visiting!

My Sweet love

I have always wanted to use this cut and for one reason or another I just haven't.

So this year I decided that I would make a Valentine's day card with that cut from A child's year cartridge... (It sounds like I am fullfilling my new year's resolutions) LOL
I love how this cute little card came up... I love the brown with the red and I LOVE that background paper which is from a DCWV stack that I've had for about one or two years. (There you go, I am using what I already have... another new year's resolution accomplished!!!)
My sentiment is from MCT, I am delighted with my stamp sets... who woldn't?

Hope you like my little card, and as always, thank you for visiting my blog.
